5K run/walk is our annual event to raise awareness and funds for the fight against colorectal cancer. In Iowa, colorectal cancer is the second most common cause of cancer deaths with more Iowans dying of colorctal cancer than breast and prostate cancer combined. Colorectal cancer can almost always be cured if detected early through screening. Screening tests provide an opportunity for prevention, early detection and successful treatment of this otherwise deadly disease but only two third of Iowans age 50 and older have undergone screening tests.

Please join us to help educate the public about colorectal cancer, promote screening and get people talking about this deadly but preventable disease. Please take a pledge to get screened and encourage loved ones to do the same. We are organizing this run/walk to bring awareness and to raise funds. The funds raised through this non-profit run/walk will be spent in our local community through various no-profit agencies dedicated to beat colorectal cancer.
